Hazardous Materials Surveys
Before any demolition or major renovation can occur, the City of Edmonton and Alberta OHS require a comprehensive hazardous materials assessment. We conduct thorough pre-demolition and pre-renovation surveys, identifying asbestos, lead, mould, PCBs, and mercury. Our detailed reports satisfy all municipal permit requirements.
Asbestos Management Plans (AMP)
If asbestos is identified in a commercial building but not slated for immediate removal, OHS regulations mandate a formal Asbestos Management Plan. We develop comprehensive AMPs that include material condition tracking, worker training protocols, emergency response procedures, and required annual reassessment schedules.
Project Design & Tendering
For large-scale institutional or commercial abatements, we write the technical specifications and scopes of work. We can manage the tendering process to ensure you hire qualified abatement contractors and that the bids are accurate and competitive.
Project Oversight & Clearance
We act as the owner's representative during active abatement projects, conducting site inspections to ensure the abatement contractor is following all safety protocols, maintaining negative air pressure, and properly documenting waste manifests. We coordinate the final air clearance testing to certify the building is safe.
